Student Guidance and Support Center

The Student Guidance and Support Center was established with the aim of identifying the reasons for students dropping out of school by analyzing the relevant data, solving problems and making improvements to keep students in the system within the scope of studies carried out to solve students' educational, social, cultural and economic problems. The activities carried out by the center are as follows:

• Identifying the reasons for students dropping out of school and carrying out improvement processes to eliminate these reasons,
• Conducting academic peer support program,
• Making data analyses by accessing the relevant data on the basis of faculty and department, evaluating these analyses and reporting them to the dean of students,
• Keeping in contact with students who are earthquake victims, children of veterans and national athletes and following their academic status constantly,
• Ensuring that students benefit effectively from the opportunities offered by the University such as scholarships, psychological support, career counselling, alumni information system and clubs.
• Attending the meetings organized to inform the senior management about the evaluations made as a result of data analyses.
• Identifying the causes of students' academic failures and guiding students with methods to eliminate these causes,
• Collecting information by calling students with special status by phone and matching the information with the data,
• Informing students one-to-one,
• Using the bulk texting program for student announcements.
